Community Health Needs Assessment
How We Identify and Respond to Community Health Needs
Every three years, United Regional conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to better understand the health challenges facing Wichita County, Texas. This process is part of our commitment to the Affordable Care Act and our mission to support the well-being of our community.
The most recent CHNA, completed in 2022, includes:
- A comprehensive review of current health data and demographic trends
 - Input from community leaders, healthcare providers, and residents
 - Identification of the most pressing health needs in our region

Based on these findings, we developed an Implementation Plan to guide our efforts through 2025. This plan was formally approved by the Hospital Board on October 24, 2022, and serves as a roadmap for delivering programs and services that address the community’s greatest needs.
What the CHNA Covers:
- Social determinants of health
 - Access to care
 - Chronic disease prevention
 - Mental and behavioral health
 - Emergency preparedness

Why It Matters
By aligning our services with the CHNA findings, United Regional ensures that our programs are responsive, data-driven, and community-focused.
